Critical Facts about Ministering to Sex Offenders, the Mentally Ill, and the Addicted

Often times in our ministry we walk with individuals whose stories are more complicated than we might feel equipped to address. In this webinar Elizabeth Hardy, LICSW and Fr. Dustin Feddon, PhD will guide us through a conversation regarding the facts and practice of ministry with Sexual Offenders, the Mentally Ill and those that struggle with addiction.

 

Elizabeth Hardy, LICSW

Ms Hardy has nearly twenty years of experience as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. Having experienced a variety of settings, she has worked with sex offenders, those struggling with addiction, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Before entering into private practice, she worked with the New York City Fire Department, juvenile residential programs for sexual offenders, the Massachusetts state prison system, and the Massachusetts State Department of Probation and Parole – with whom she currently consults. Ms Hardy holds a B.A. in Psychology from Boston University and a Masters in Social Work from New York University.

 

Fr. Dustin Feddon, PhD

Fr. Dustin Feddon is the Executive Director of Joseph House. He also serves in pastoral ministry to those incarcerated throughout North Florida. In his work among the incarcerated he focuses especially on the needs of those in solitary confinement.Fr. Dustin serves at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton parish in Crawfordville and Sacred Heart in Lanark Village in the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee.Prior to entering the priesthood, he received his PhD in the study of Religion with a focus in the area of philosophy and ethics from Florida State University.
