Prayer for those in detention in these times:

Lord in Heaven, as we are unable to visit our brothers and sisters in prison at this time, please sustain them in their faith and bless all who are in custody.  Keep them safe from this disease and allow them to look forward to such time as we may gather in community once again.

The Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC) promotes Catholic ministry to all those affected by incarceration and detention. Our goal is to recruit, train, support and empower those called to this ministry.

We hope to create a more just and merciful criminal justice system closely aligned with the ministry and teaching of the Church and the example of Pope Francis.

Ministry

We aim to educate, equip, and accompany all those ministering to and seeking ministry for people affected by incarceration.

Community

We aim to create a national website to connect ministry leaders, those seeking assistance, and those involved in advocacy.

Advocacy

We aim to create a more just and merciful society through advocacy on the local, state, & national levels.

We, too, must be servants. It is true that in life there are problems; we argue among ourselves, but this must be something that passes, a passing phase. In our hearts, there must always be this love to serve the other, to be at the service of others.
